New MMH 160 Ton "Rhino" Baler

This new 160 ton 3 ram compression baler has recently been delivered to Lord & Midgley in Hull. It has a box size 1.600 x 1.200 x 800 mm and produces a very dense bale 400 x 400 mm.

It has a throughput of 2 - 4 ton/hr on steel, it is supplied with PLC control and has cycle time of 70 seconds.

The machine is built with MN65 steel liners, lid and box blades and is supplied with an in feed hopper.

Our latest delivery for the MMH Buffalo Baler is to Dublin!

O'Riley Recycling of Dublin took delivery recently of their new 125 ton Buffalo 3 Ram automatic baler.

The machine was soon put into action producing a 300 x 300 x variable bale from aluminum extrusions, copper pipe and stainless steel. With a 125 ton pressure force on the pusher and side cylinders, and a 70 second cycle, it produces a very dense bale for export. This baler is now one of many in operation in the U.K.

Mil-ver improve how they prepare their scrap

The UK's leading producer of Secondary Aluminium ingots, Mil-ver Metal Company in Coventry, recently installed an Eldan SC2118 250Kw Super Chopper to improve the quality of scrap that is being fed into their furnace production.

They opted for the Eldan machine because it is strong and robust enough to shred both loose as well as baled aluminium scrap, and it also produces a size suitable for their smelting operation.

Morley Waste open up a new yard in Leeds

The Morley Waste Group has recently opened up a new yard in Leeds and MMH have supplied them with a new MOROS HS-630-B Shear with baling facility.

It has the usual heavy duty design and it is capable of processing ferrous and structural scrap as well as complete cars. Supplied with a 5.5 metre box and on four out riggers for portability.

Leading recycler Alutrade has recently added an Eldan MPR200A machine to their new aluminium processing line.

Alutrade is one of the largest recyclers of aluminium extrusions in the UK and have been keen to use only the very best recycling machinery.

The Multi-Purpose Rasper is a proven machine with a wear resistant rotor, replaceable wear plates, serrated knives that can be reground multiple times, and a hydraulic opening for easy access to the rotor and screen.

The machine is available in 3 different sizes depending on capacity requirements, and is also designed to be suitable for processing tyres and cables.

Moros H-C-250 now working at B. Nebbett & Son Ltd

B. Nebbett & Son Ltd of Mitcham have put their new Moros H-C-250 to work shearing and baling non-ferrous metal.

Capable of processing a wide range of non-ferrous metals, the H-C-250 can shear material to length and also produce bales 400mm x 400mm x variable length. This unit provides 250t shear force, 165t baling force, two wing compression, a three metre long box and a remote control.

Lord & Midgley install a Moros GCS800




Lord & Midgley (based in Hull and part of the Morley Waste Trader group of companies) have recently taken delivery of the new Moros GCS800 Baler.

The GCS800 incorporates the latest shearing design to prevent jamming. Having operated a Moros 1000-ton precompression shear for the last five years, Lord & Midgley decided to add the Moros GCS800 after General Manager Antony Whittaker visited Montreal to see a similar unit in action at American Iron Metal.

Together with their recent installation of an ELV depollution plant, the Lord & Midgley yard is now one of the most modern in the UK.
