First Tyre Plant to be set up in Northern Ireland

Scrap tyres are a problem everywhere, and in Northern Ireland Entyre Recycling have set up the Country's first licensed site to recycle tyres.

Having had to dispose of a machine which wasn't suitable, Entyre had learned the hard way the importance of getting the right equipment for the job. Owner Colm Bradley was very keen to find a hard wearing machine that gave low down time and economical running.

Guided by MMH, Entyre have purchased a new Eldan SC1412T 160kw Supper Chopper to process Super Singles, Truck tyres, and Car tyres. There is no need to debead the truck tyres as the machine is built with a hardened rotor, has liner plates to withstand the abrasive steel and is hydraulic driven. Running at 23RPM it generates little dust and is very quiet. A major factor in this decision was Eldan's "modular approach", which allows Entyre to purchase parts of the plant in different stages.

The Eldan SC1412T has been set up as a plant and is now in operation. Entyre are very impressed with the new machine and MMH will soon be supplying the next stage of the plant to produce a rubber chip product".
