Metalco pre-chop tyres using the Eldan SC1412T Super Chopper. This is a strong, robust machine that can process up to Super single size tyres. There is no need to debead the tyres before entering the SC. Hydraulic driven it is capable of processing 6 ton/hr on car tyres 4 tons/hr on truck tyres.
The shred is taken through an Eldan Heavy Rasper HR125, this will liberate the steel so full removal is taken place by magnet separation. The Eldan Heavy Rasper is used by most of the world’s tyre recyclers as it can liberate the steel from the tyres using one pass. This machine is capable also of taking whole car tyres.
The material is then fed through into a granulation line using the Eldan FG1500 fine granulator, the material is screened and cleaned and they are able to produce a range of granulate sizes.
