Tyre Recycling Plant for Birmingham

IMG_4433.JPG

This modern Eldan plant is located in the heart of the country. The Eldan machinery can process truck and car tyres, in this project we are processing car tyres with very little handling.

The tyres are deposited into a tyre feeder which has a hopper, they are then fed into the Eldan Super Chopper, SC1412T where they are shredded. The shred is then loaded in to the Tumble back feeder which feeds the Eldan Multi-Purpose Rasper, MPR 160T that will produce 20mm tyre chips. The MPR will also liberate the steel so that it is completely removed using magnet separation. The material is screened off and by using pneumatic transport and a dust filter system, they are able to produce a premium chip for the equestrian market.

The plant will be set up to process shredded tyres (truck & car) up to an input capacity of 3 ton/hr, the steel will be liberated and completely removed by magnetic separation. The chip material will be screened off through a classifier to produce two sizes : a clean equestrian product, and a fine powder fraction.

The Winning Team!

Eldan-TheWinningTeam.jpg

Agents and distributors for Eldan met up this week at the factory in Denmark for a very enjoyable Agents Seminar. We thought it always rained a lot in the U.K. but it rained heavily everyday in Denmark!!

It brought us together with our colleagues from around the world to discuss our different territories, gain new knowledge from Eldan on the different types of equipment being manufactured and developed to suit new legislation. As a result we have a better knowledge and are better informed to guide our customers make the right choice in buying an Eldan plant!

Eldan Rasper 1207 sold to Cyprus

This machine will act as a key part of the process to produce carbon black from waste tyres. CBp carbon industries has just set up its first pre-commercial production plant in Cyprus, and it will be the world's largest state-of-the art tyre pyrolysis plant.

MMH is very pleased to be involved in this exciting project whereby the carbon black will go into producing new tyres, with the Rasper 1207 being used to liberate the wire from shredded tyres.

One year on in tyre recycling....

Templewood collections of Essex have now had their small tyre recycling facility in operation for 12 months.

This small plant is processing whole car tyres through a pre-shredder and then through an Eldan 1200-3 Rasper to liberate the wire to produce a clean equestrian chip.

IMG00019.jpg

The owner Robbie Essam hasn't looked back, confirming that he produces such a good product sales are increasing all the time and orders are coming in daily.

The plant has been set up to be run using just one operator, keeping it neat, efficient and economical. Robbie manages his business very well and we look forward to continuing our co-operation together.

NEW!!! Eldan Steel-Cleaning Systems

Traditionally tyre recycling solutions have focused entirely on the purity of the rubber fraction, with Eldan equipment delivering 99.9% clean rubber as standard. Now, however, more attention is being paid to the steel fraction resulting from the tyre recycling process and how best to obtain clean metal from the tyre wire.

In response, Eldan's Research and Development have developed three different standard solutions for cleaning the steel fraction. These are:

1. Screening system with an output of approximately 95-97% clean steel wire. 1-screening-system.png
2. Multi purpose rasper system with an output of approximately 97-98% clean steel wire. 2-multi-purpose.png
3. Multi purpose rasper and screening system - a deluxe solution with an output of approximately 98-99% clean steel wire. 3-delux.png

The plants can be tailored to individual customer requirements and are already operating successfully in a number of sites. For more information, contact MMH with your requirements.

This machine is the work horse of any tyre recycling plant as it liberates the tyre wire so it can be removed freely by magnetic separation. It is capable of processing whole car tyres, shredded truck/super singles and car tyres. It is also robust and heavy duty, incorporating a screen system that enables you to change the size of product.

Mil-ver improve how they prepare their scrap

The UK's leading producer of Secondary Aluminium ingots, Mil-ver Metal Company in Coventry, recently installed an Eldan SC2118 250Kw Super Chopper to improve the quality of scrap that is being fed into their furnace production.

MMH can supply recycling systems to suit all budgets, as shown by our recent installation at Templewood Collections.

Robbie Essam, the owner of the small Essex tyre collection firm, wanted to have his own moderate recycling plant in order to process passenger car tyres down to 20mm equestrian chip. An important consideration, though, was affordability.

After assessing Robbie's requirements, MMH supplied Templewood with a new Eldan Rasper 1200-3 series and a refurbished pre-shredder. This system, although designed for the smaller operator's budget, does not stint on performance; the liberated wire is removed using two strong magnetic separation systems to produce an ideal rubber chip. Moreover, a dust filter system ensures a clean and healthy environment.

Set up for processing a small amount of whole car tyres at a rate of one ton per hour, the plant produces approximately 700kg of equestrian material per hour.

First Tyre Plant to be set up in Northern Ireland

Scrap tyres are a problem everywhere, and in Northern Ireland Entyre Recycling have set up the Country's first licensed site to recycle tyres.

Having had to dispose of a machine which wasn't suitable, Entyre had learned the hard way the importance of getting the right equipment for the job. Owner Colm Bradley was very keen to find a hard wearing machine that gave low down time and economical running.

Guided by MMH, Entyre have purchased a new Eldan SC1412T 160kw Supper Chopper to process Super Singles, Truck tyres, and Car tyres. There is no need to debead the truck tyres as the machine is built with a hardened rotor, has liner plates to withstand the abrasive steel and is hydraulic driven. Running at 23RPM it generates little dust and is very quiet. A major factor in this decision was Eldan's "modular approach", which allows Entyre to purchase parts of the plant in different stages.

The Eldan SC1412T has been set up as a plant and is now in operation. Entyre are very impressed with the new machine and MMH will soon be supplying the next stage of the plant to produce a rubber chip product".

MMH helps Leicester become an Environmental City

As part of their plans to combat the scrap tyre problem in Leicester, environmental charity Environ (part of Groundwork Leicester and Leicestershire) has recently invested in a new Eldan tyre recycling plant for producing 20mm steel free chip.

After thorough research of the tyre recycling market, Directors Kevin Bush and Iqbal Bhatti found the Eldan range of machinery to be far superior to other machinery they had seen. They were also very impressed with how MMH and Eldan were able to supply systems to suit their specific requirements.

MMH have supplied Environ with the Heavy Rasper HR162T, which can liberate steel from whole car tyres or shredded tyres in one pass. With its heavy duty build, the HR162T is used by all major tyre recyclers in the UK and the world.

We have recently installed the first stage of the plant at their site and they are producing 20mm chip for equestrian. The second stage granulation line will be installed later this year, and will enable Environ to produce various grades of rubber granulate 99.99% free of steel & textile.

MMH Sales Manager Peter Jones says "Environ are very pleased with the plant we have delivered, and MMH is very happy to be involved with this rapidly expanding environmental charity".
